Mantra and Meditation Retreat
Mantra is a tool that is used in yoga for cleansing, steadying and focusing the mind/body system. Swami Niranjanananda has given three beautiful mantra for the start of the day. Join this Retreat and learn these mantra, then apply them in your life and experience the transformation they can bring.
Yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing) and meditation practices will be given alongside the experience of mantra to harmonise and purify physical, vital, mind and wisdom aspects of nature and really make a difference in your life.
When: Starting 5.30pm with dinner, Friday 3 September, ending after lunch Sunday 5 September
Contribution: $260 (including shared accommodation and all meals - organic, vegetarian) or $360 for accommodation in your own room

GLOBAL MALA Event
The purpose of the Global Mala Yoga for Peace is to unite the global yoga community from every continent, school or approach to form a "mala around the earth" through collective practices based upon the sacred cycle of 108 on Sept. 19th or 20th, Spring Equinox as the yoga world's offering to further the UN International Peace Day.
I'd like to encourage you, as a yoga student, to take part in Global Mala wherever it is that you are in New Zealand.
Both the Wellington event, and the inaugural Dunedin event are going to give all funds raised (via donation and business sponsorship) to the Yoga in Prisons Trust
The event will involve chanting 108 rounds of a chosen mantra, or 108 minutes ...stbc.
7 pm. Donations to the Yoga Education in prisons trust are welcomed. |

How to Breath workshop
Yoga helps to re-educate, re-balance and integrate both the physical body and the mind in a holistic way.
In this workshop you can have the experience of Neti – nasal/sinus rinse, learn the Full Yogic Breath, Nadi Shodhana (balancing breath) some gentle stretches to relax the body, vitality increasing practices and a deep relaxation - Satyananda Yoga Nidra at the end.
This workshop is aimed for the beginner.

We would like to invite you for an entertaining & inspiring community event, as fundraiser for the visit of a world renowned yogini Swami Satsangi Saraswati to NZ, Nelson, Easter 2011.
We will be showing the film
"Yoga Unveiled" ~ The Evolution and Essence of a Spiritual Tradition. Yoga Unveiled is a unique look at the oldest spiritual practice in the world.
~the movie is 3 hours long so we will stop halfway through for chai and cookies..... The movie will be screened onto the wall through a projector. The sadhana room will be filled with an assortment of seating arrangements, and even though you are all accomplished Yogis and Yoginis by now we do not expect you to sit on the floor for 3 hours! so...if you require a couch or chair please let us know, and we will do our best to reserve you a space.... and if you have a bean bag or special cushion or chair feel free to bring it along!
Bookings are essential.
4pm start we will show the movie first and then have dinner together afterwards.

Yoga Wellness Retreat
If you feel your life has become unbalanced, enjoy a weekend of good food, yoga and meditation practices to help nourish body, mind and spirit back into balance, harmony and well-being.
Practices for yogic management of stress and balancing of nervous and endocrine systems will be given, as well as the opportunity to connect with the healing magic and majesty of ocean, sky and earth.
