Swami Muktidharma has more than a 35-year history with yoga, including 16 years in India, living with Yoga Master Paramahamsa Satyananda. He is now based at Anahata Yoga Retreat, New Zealand, where he works therapeutically with people from around the world and trains residents in living a yogic lifestyle. In his one-to-one sessions Swami Muktidharma blends and applies practices according to individual needs in the yogic treatment of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual imbalances. He also lectures throughout the world and offers a twice yearly India Retreat at the heart of Satyananda Yoga in Rikhia, India.

Sannyasin Atmabhava has been a core member of Anahata Yoga Retreat for four years and has received training with the Satyananda Yoga Academy in Australia. An experienced adventure guide with a background in ecology, he blends the techniques of yoga with the beauty of the outdoors to help us connect with our internal nature.

Sannyasi Divyajyoti is a founding member of Anahata Yoga Retreat. She has lived between the Satyananda ashrams in Australia and Anahata over the past several years, also regularly traveling to India. She has a yoga teaching diploma from the Satyananda Yoga Academy in Australia. Divyajyoti also holds a certificate in advanced permaculture and has lead yoga ecology courses and eco projects at Anahata and in Australia.

Prabhavanananda • accredited teacher
Prabhavananda (Thomas Spring) received his teacher qualification from the Satyananda Yoga Academy in India and Australia. He offers weekly classes in the Nelson region and has taught workshops in NZ, Australia, USA, and Switzerland. He works at a health centre in Nelson.

Pavitra has been practising yoga for over 20 years. She received her teacher qualification from the Satyananda Yoga Academy in Australia, and has also trained with Donna Farhi in NZ. Pavitra runs her own yoga studio in Christchurch (YOGA for YOU) where she offers weekly yoga classes, monthly Kirtan evenings and occasional workshops. Pavitra is also available for personal yoga sessions, workplace yoga and private small group classes.

Deepananda
Deepananda has been practicing yoga for over 30 years, and has taught for more than 20 years . She recently updated her teaching qualifications with Satyananda Yoga Academy in Australia.
Deepananda has taught general yoga classes in a wide variety of contexts, including Adult Community Education; pregnancy; schools; people with disabilities; and workplaces. She also teaches at the School of Physical Education at the University of Otago.
She enjoys running retreats and workshop days on a variety of Yoga related topics.
